Fossil forms – artfully preserved

We recently had the opportunity to tastefully showcase two prehistoric fish fossils. The delicate structures and colours called for a frame that would preserve and emphasise their uniqueness.

For this project, we chose a high-quality object frame made of solid walnut. The slightly recessed mounting creates a harmonious balance between the object and the frame.

The stone discs were mounted on a subtle, neutral background to draw the focus entirely to the fossils. The texture of the rock and the delicate colours of the fossils are particularly visible thanks to anti-reflective art glass.
