Robert Arato – From Abstraction to Hyperrealism
The freelance artist and native Slovenian Robert Arato has lived and worked in Ibiza for 28 years. He uses the sea and the landscapes of Spain as inspiration for his work, which is also reflected in the motifs of his paintings. Seascapes, the universe, as well as more abstract ideas find a place on his canvas.
Robert Arato became famous for his large-format works of art in the style of hyperrealism. But if you take a closer look behind his canvases, you can see a fascinating process of creation. For Arato’s goal is not photorealism, but a dynamic and autonomous production of art, in which each work step could be an independent and self-contained work. Through the synthesis of all work steps, an impressive atmospheric appearance of light, water and air emerges at the end.
Come by and immerse yourself in two of his seascapes in the Art Poster Gallery. The two exclusive Giclée prints let the colours shine and underline the feeling of infinity in his compositions.
