Boni Boniello – Reflections of Light in balanced compositions

Boni Boniello (born 1974) is a British artist, living and working in Zurich since 2004. Boni creates large format, abstract collages using paper, metal foils and iridescent prints that she makes herself – materials that reflect light and radiate colour.

Boni is inspired by the time she spends in Southern Italy and by the seasonal changes and light reflections in the rustic Mediterranean towns and villages she visits. She is fascinated by the energy, color and chaotic systems of order that manifest themselves in the most unexpected places.

Boni works with natural and geometric forms of exploding colors and deconstructed forms in balanced compositions that play with the concept of the order in a chaotic environment.

Her goal is to inspire her audience to look more carefully at the world around them so they too can discover beauty in the most unusual places.
