My father was my role model. He won an international painting competition in middle school with the remark: “We have never had such a young person who has made such a perfect picture”. However, he admired my freedom in painting.

I am interested in different techniques like weaving tapestries, embroider tapestries, also silk painting, as well as batik. For many years, I attended courses at the School of Applied Arts, today’s Zurich University of Arts. Especially the courses with Maria Kägi gave me great insight into colour, shape, colour tone, rhythm, including hearing, and of course, the own feelings. I also learned to bring my own power via the brush into the picture by attending many East Asian painting courses of Kwang Ya Yang.

I love mysterious pictures for which all viewers can bring their own thoughts and titles.

Jeder darf das hineininterpretieren, was er empfindet.

Everyone may interpret what they feel.
