Martin Denkinger has been working in the energy sector for 20 years. In his free time, he is out and about with his camera and expresses his fascination for the elemental in his photos.

This is how he created the Aqua series, in which he depicts the dynamics and geometric lines of the water flowing in the evening light at the Klingnau Aare power station in contrast to the swirling rivulet that springs from the Langfirn glacier on the Gämsfairenstock at 2,800 meters above sea level.

The thundering waters of the Aare and the absolute stillness of the rivulet on the glacier, which is at the source of the Linth, impressively demonstrated to him the fascinating changeability of water.

“Everything flows and nothing remains; there is only an eternal becoming and changing”
